KRESGE ART CENTER: WAYFINDING

In the fall of 2012 I was selected to be part of a group of design students at Michigan State University tasked with creating a new wayfinding design system for MSU’s Kresge Art Center. The project required working with our client, Tom Berding (MSU Art Department Chair), to find the best solution to the outdated system in place. After much research and reference to ADA Guidelines (Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990), a system was created and mock-ups were put in place to test how users reacted to it in its environment.

If you would like to view the entire system, check out the Kresge Systems Manual.

After the course, I was offered the opportunity to continue design development, production, and installation individually through the Be Spartan Green Student Project Fund.
